Physical presence in Norway

Nida provides the following advice and service to Norwegian and international businesses seeking a physical presence in Norway:

• Acquisition through collaboration: Business search for potential collaboration or acquisition based on client specifications, such as type of business, geography, and so on. We also provide this service to clients who want to sell their business on a regular basis.
  
• Localization for start-ups or localization for new businesses:  Nida suggests locations in Norway based on client's specification. Specification here can be about access to suitable areas, relevant labour, suitable infrastructure here water, sewage, electricity, cooperation with the public sector in e.g. trainingof employees, support etc. Access to relevant subcontractors can be an important point in the decision-making phase. NIDA has developed a comprehensive tool through a PA Book for localization of industry and businesses nationally and internationally perspective. PA-Boken's checklists cover and take care of most wishes and needs that a client would have as a decision-making basis for choosing location for new business. The PA Book also covers questions about the attractiveness of hosting and the desire for business-friendly municipalities that have short decision-making processes and good communication.
• Investing in construction and process equipment - machinery:  Nida offers advice on new construction, Green Field, purchasing existing industrial buildings/buildings, investing with others or alone, and possibly renting long-term lease agreements. Nida also advises on public support opportunities for building measures and process measures (machines and equipment). Nida also works with leading construction, process, automation, and robotics consulting firms in Norway to conduct a feasibility study that includes budgets and technology selection.
• Legal clarifications and the "due diligence process"  If needed, Nida can assist in obtaining documentation and veritas of documentation as part of a "due diligence process." Our legal team partner in an approved law firm handles all legal clarifications.
• Arrange company visit or presentation of municipalities, regions, and country as potential locations for new business establishment: Nida organizes tours and company visits with professional content lectures inside and outside of Norway for a smaller number of participants. Nida provides tailored professional content based on the client's specifications. Nida also emphasizes that all participants should be able to have informal conversations in a social setting. Visits to Norwegian businesses established abroad are popular for learning as well as establishing contact for future fruitful collaboration or division of labor. We take care of hotel bookings, local transportation, restaurant recommendations, and much more in collaboration with local Nida offices in the other Nordic countries and the Baltics. • -For business owners or organizations considering creating goods and services they themselves intend to produce or provide (service-service), with a location outside of major cities, here in rural areas.
• There are a variety of topics that can be discussed, including: location of the business, in the appropriate municipality, production tools, production buildings that can be rented or purchased, export, financing/support, and partner or cooperative search in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Describe what expertise is lacking and where it can be found. Connect business owners with other helpful people in the local community.
• As scope and time spent here can vary greatly depending on complexity, we have not set a cap on them. After the initial conversation, the adviser in Nida gives a hint in this direction.
• We also agree on the best way to handle advice and collaboration so that ideas and other information can be kept private. Nida doesn’t need to know everything to be able to assist.
